Right of Way Mowing
Whether
it's called Right of Way Mowing (ROW) or Vegetation Management, the concept is
basically the same; controlling the growth of trees/weeds/vines and ultimately eliminating
visual obstructions.
Typically this roadside right-of-way is considered the "utility" portion of a public street, which should be kept free of branches, limbs, or other debris. Aside from improving visibility, right of way mowing also provides easier, safer, and quicker access to utility lines, communications equipment, and sewer systems. ROW mowing can also provide adequate drainage into roadway ditches. When roadside vegetation goes unmanaged, the resulting problems are noticeable by surrounding residents, and in some instances can become a fire hazard.
Living in the computer age, more and more
businesses/households rely upon computers and other high-tech equipment.
In order to reduce the number of potential power outages from "noxious weeds",
right of way mowing continues to be a
service offered by many companies, including Fletcher Grading Contractors.

These before & after pictures certainly do demonstrate the need for right of way mowing, especially in rural and mountainous areas of the country.
Lot Clearing
When
Fletcher Grading Contractors clear a lot for home construction, they make every
attempt to avoid uprooting too many trees, which can cause erosion problems.
Further erosion control measures include chipping the smaller tree limbs into
mulch and spreading on the site.
Stumps are hauled off-site, while the logs are taken to the sawmill.
